Yup, the more people that enter the more chances of other people finding out about it and possibly entering.
But I didn't think very many folks would enter. You have to know how to replace the HD and get it working.

I would like to have a broken TiVo so I can experiment and learn how to install a brand new Hard drive. If I get it to work, that's great! Then I will upgrade my other TiVo to a bigger hard drive, maybe 200 hours. Thank you.

I've posted a tutorial*, as well, on how to help build a single-CD solution for quickly recovering from these types of crashes. Obviously, it doesn't help you in this case (as you don't have a backup of your drive), but maybe for someone yet to have this problem.
